10.12.10 - cool hair

i love long hair. anyone who knows me knows i'm a long hair girl. now, lmg looks very cute with her short hair...but i miss being able to do fun stuff with it! with the length that it is now, the front sides of it fall directly into her mouth when she leans forward at all...and she has developed the lovely habit of chewing on it. ew. so we try to keep it back out of her face...and i was getting tired of just the "usual" two half pigtails...so i pulled out a hairdo we did last year at halloween. wasn't sure how it would turn out...but it worked! and was just a fun change. :) she liked all the happy colors in it. :)

10.11.10 - one day

i missed my favorite weekend of the fall. i missed hanging out with these three awesomely cool girls...plus two more of my favorite little kiddos. i missed the crazy things we find to do together. i missed all of us being together - their uncle included. i missed having my house full of people and live noise (as opposed to the tv) for an entire weekend.

but. i am so thankful i did get to have them for one very quick night. less than 24 hours. but i loved every minute of it. i was soo exhausted from the weekend that i could hardly keep my eyes open...but i was just happy to hear everyone chatting around me. :)

next year y'all. next year. and it will be sweeter than ever since we missed this year. :)

10.10.10 - another long drive

what do you do on your second 9 hour drive in three days? take pictures of the amusing city names in NC, of course. :}

mocksville...makin' fun of my own town are they??? :}

yadkinville...sooo sounds like something in a dr. seuss book!! "the yads from yadkinville"...yup yup...now, what would a yad look like?? lol

trollingwood...sounds like a city for trolls of course!

10.9.10 - memorial

today was the memorial service for my cousin, jonathan. it was a wonderful service. maybe i'll write about it later on my other blog. if i can find the words.

daniel and i had some extra time in the morning so we ran over to the beach just for a few minutes. it was so peaceful. that night, we went back and i walked on this beach with my other cousin, benjamin. it was therapeutic.

10.8.10 - looong trip

...all the way over to the coast (almost) of NC. again. didn't think to take a picture. not in the mood.

10.7.10 - out.

library day today. then went by the mall for some much needed clothes for my oldest and youngest who just won't stop growing! :-p :) lmg is set with clothes from her sister from last year...but i let her choose a couple shirts. love the children's place - they had a 50% off sale...and i got a coupon for 30% off my total purchase!! love it! i promised my kids we could walk through the disney store after tcp...which is where this pic is from. :)

10.6.10 - still didn't think about the camera

being with my kiddos helps. still didn't think about taking any pictures though.
