was trying to take a quick pic on my phone to send to lauren today...this is what happens in many of my photo adventures with my kiddos...i just don't usually post these pics! today i decided they needed to be preserved. :)
last weekend we lost my itouch somewhere in the house. i wasn't too worried. about a month or so ago, mommy lost her itouch too...it took a couple weeks but it finally turned up. so did mine today! lm giggles got down to pull a toy from under her bed and tada! there it was! sneaky little thing! we all thought we had checked under the beds before! lol
just trying out the CA setting on my camera. no idea what ca stands for...but i have the option of saying how blurred i make the background. interesting. i think i like this setting. :)
maddox is hanging out at our house today. my kiddos could not be more excited! :) they keep saying, "i wish maddox could be MY baby brother!! because he's just soo soo soo CUTE!!!" :)
i've been hanging out at his house this weekend. so fun! i turned around and he had crawled in the dog crate...he thought he was pretty funny...until he couldn't figure out how to get back out of it! :)
my friend laura (this is not laura) asked if i wanted to help her throw a baby shower for leah (this is leah). we ended up making it a surprise shower and instead of typical baby shower games, we did manicures, pedicures, and facials. and laughed. probably about 75% of the evening! :) this moment in particular was HILARIOUS. but laura might kill me if i told you why. let's just say we saw a side of her we had never seen before. makes me laugh just thinking about it! :}
this is smiley. if you read this post on my other blog, then you know what lm giggles said about our favorite dog friend. :} we got to love on her at the playground. hadn't seen her in a while. she was in heaven - three kids to chase/be chased by plus 4 whole tennis balls to fetch! kiki loved the extra boost of exercise the kids got! :)
so mommy and daddy brought each of the girls little horse charms that fit on a necklace from horse racing this past weekend. they came in these little green jewelry boxes. mr. happy seized the opportunity to practice proposing to his girlfriend - reegan (lauren's sister)! he said, "kiki, you be reegan!" so funny! :) he loves his reegan.
there is a real live train in our mall right now!! so of course, since i have my kids for the weekend, we had to go take a ride. so cool. mr. happy was sooo excited!
two of my kids' uncles are visiting from ireland right now so all three kiddos are sleeping together in this big bed (the girls' beds pushed together with the mattresses turned sideways so no one falls through a crack!). mr. happy thinks it's fabulous...the girls like it too...when he's not rolling all over them! lol
lm sunshine got a "go go my walking pup"! made me feel old - they used to sell those when i was little! in fact, i still remember the song from the commercial. growing up, whenever we would get a song stuck in our heads, we would sing the song from that commercial and it would somehow magically get the other song out without getting stuck itself! :) still works sometimes....
benjamin is my baby cousin. i call him g. it's an inside story. :) i don't get to see him nearly enough! but he and his parents are coming for thanksgiving which is getting closer and closer! yay!
recently we picked up tooons of chestnuts from our yard! i don't know why we never realized we had them before this fall! they were so much fun to hunt for - like an easter egg hunt in the fall! we even tried roasting them (in the oven...not on an open fire...!) :) however, i forgot that the recipe i found online said to dip them in melted butter. just by themselves they tasted...uh...not so good. maybe if i had one roasted by a professional chestnut roaster...! :)
I am a daughter, sister, friend, "almost aunt", nanny, and most importantly a child of the King of kings who loves me beyond comprehension and Who I am learning to love more every day.
I have been adopted twice. Once into my earthly family, once into my heavenly family. Adoption is one of my passions and is a theme you will find woven throughout this blog from time to time. :)
I love photography, hanging out with friends, starbucks, flipflops, chocolate, books, music, games, "my" kids, making creative stuff for my etsy shop, and more that I'm sure I'll think of later. Leave me a comment to let me know you stopped by! :)
